Overwhelming Response To Far North’s Largest Field Day Event
Sites Selling Fast!
Nearly three-quarters of the sites at next year’s Rotary FNQ Field Days have been sold, organisers said this week.
The Rotary FNQ Field Days, an initiative of the Tableland Rotary Clubs of Atherton and Mareeba, is a biannual event showcasing the largest and most comprehensive display of agricultural equipment and related products and services.
The 2013 event will be held on 29 and 30 May at Kerribee Park, near Mareeba.
Field Days Committee chairman Collin Messervy said the response from exhibitors had been overwhelming.
“Businesses involved in the various agricultural industries in the region, and their allied counterparts, recognise this event is one of the best in Queensland and are not willing to miss out,” Mr Messervy said.
“Our website went live with our bookings a little over a month ago and the response has been outstanding.
“The bookings to date surpass those for the same period in 2011 by nearly 15 per cent.
“There are still sites left but they are selling fast.”
Mr Messervy said the new location at Kerribee Park promised enormous benefits for exhibitors and visitors, with bigger, better and more interactive displays.
There will also be bigger and better attraction to encourage buyers to the displays, including a vintage tractor demonstration, a first for Far North Queensland.
