Rotary FNQ Field Days Announces Strategic Partnership Arrangement

Mar 6, 2013

Two Tableland businesses have climbed aboard this year's Rotary FNQ Field Days to help take the event to the next level.

In a first for the event, Mareeba Mazda and Bendigo Community Bank® Mareeba, Dimbulah and Ravenshoe have become strategic partners for the event being held on 29 and 30 May.

In announcing the partnership, Field Days Committee chairman Collin Messervy said the exclusive arrangement would help grow the event.

‘As our strategic partners, these two well-established, local businesses are making a huge investment in the event,’ Mr Messervy said.

‘Their commitment represents significant faith in the future of the field days.

‘The organising committee and Tableland Rotary Clubs are pleased to have them on board as they share our passion to see the event grow and continue to be successful.’

The field days, an initiative of the Tableland Rotary Clubs of Atherton and Mareeba, will showcase the largest and most comprehensive display of agricultural equipment and related products and services at the new location of Kerribee Park, Mareeba.

Mareeba Mazda dealer principal David Mete, a member of the Rotary Club of Mareeba, said he had seen first hand how the profits from the event helped the local community.

‘With a dedicated organising committee and volunteers and support from sponsors, I firmly believe the potential for the field days is endless,’ Mr Mete said.

‘As a local business, Mareeba Mazda is looking forward to be part of the event this year and in future years.’

Bendigo Bank Community Bank® board chairman Gilbert Teitzel said the field days committee shared a similar ethos with the community bank.

‘Community banks invest profits back into their communities and as profits from the field days will also be invested back into our community it makes good sense for Bendigo Bank Community Bank to partner with the event,’ Mr Teitzel said.

‘The field days provides a significant economic boost for the region and the community banks endeavour to support events that drive such outcomes for our communities.’

As strategic partners, Mareeba Mazda and Bendigo Community Bank® Mareeba, Dimbulah and Ravenshoe are making a significant investment to the event through donations of cash and value-added services and products.
