On a mission to save rural lives

A RURAL woman dedicating her work to meeting with rural men on the ground to help break down the stigma of mental health has a powerful message for those across the Far North.

“I promise you there is always a way out of the bog hole and there are plenty of people ready to help you”.

The importance of health and safety on-farm will also be addressed in the in the Rotary Business Tent, with presentations from Atherton couple Jodie and Mario Cocco.

The pair’s son, Domenic suffered life-threatening injuries after a crashing his quad bike. He was not wearing a helmet and had not had any formal training. Domenic was just seven-years-old at the time of the incident.
