Rotary John Deere Tractor Pull

Rotary John Deere Tractor Pull

A new category will be added to the program in 2017, a Garden Tractor Pull. This fits perfectly with our rural customers and will certainly make for a totally different entertainment factor for our crowds.

Also the Field Days event will bring back its extremely popular attraction, a Tractor Pull. Vintage and classic tractors will go up against a purpose built weight transfer sled, each tractor pulling the sled as far as possible along a 120 metre track. Also for this year a vintage & classic truck display has been added to the program.

This attraction is a very much welcomed addition to the event, and in 2015 this was one of the most popular events. It drew huge crowds to watch tractors in all their glory going head to head against the sled.

The classes range in 10hp increments from 20 to 149 hp and your tractor must fit into the vintage (manufactured 1959 or earlier) or the classic (manufactured 1960 to 1973) guidelines to be eligible to nominate for this event. There is also a static display area for any tractor enthusiast wishing to simply display their antique tractor, without having to hook to the sled.

The Rotary FNQ Field Days sub-committee representative Ruth Maisel, is working with the Field Days committee to make this competition come to life.

All visitors are welcome to the Field Days to see the Tractors pulling at 10.00am and 2.00pm  Wednesday & Thursday and Friday at 10.00am & 1.00pm.
